RealtimeCarbon.org provides data on the carbon intensity of the UK electricity supply.

We believe it is the best available source of its kind. But more is needed to reflect all aspects of the generation, transmission, and balancing of the supply.

This RealtimeCarbon.org forum provides a place for consumers, suppliers, grid operators, utilities, and government to come together to improve the data. In other words, your views matter so please post them up.

To start, simply create your user details to login. Nothing personal is required and it is free. Once you have logged in, you can reply to other peoples' posts or create topics and posts in any of the subject areas. For more information on how to post messages and the options available to you, please see the FAQs

Before you start posting, you may find this methodology paper helpful. It explains how the data is processed and made available.

For details on how to access and use the data or if you can suggest new ways that electricity consumers can benefit, please go to Using the Data.

If you have views on how the quality of the data can be improved - for instance factors that should be taken into account in the calculations - please go to
Scientific issues -- help us improve the numbers.
